What data we process and why
The site has no user accounts and no forms. We process the data your browser sends each time it opens a page and, with your consent, visit statistics.
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis | Retention period |
|---|---|---|---|
| Running the site, keeping it secure and fixing faults | IP address, browser type, the address of the page opened and the time of the request (server logs) | Article 6(1)(e) GDPR (passenger information as a task in the public interest laid down in the law on public transport), or point (f) (legitimate interest) for an operator that is not a public body | At most 14 days, after which the logs are deleted automatically. |
| Answering requests, complaints and questions sent by e-mail or made by phone | The details you give in your message: name, e-mail address or phone number, and the content | Article 6(1)(c) GDPR in connection with Article 18 of the Act on digital accessibility (requests for accessibility), and for other matters the same basis as for server logs | Until we answer, and then for the period required by the controller’s rules on keeping records |
| Visit statistics (Google Analytics 4): which pages and features are used, so we can improve the site | A pseudonymous identifier from a cookie, pages visited and features used (e.g. changing the language, opening a stop, adding a favourite; never the text typed into search), device and browser type, approximate location (country, region, city) derived from the IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. | Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law (consent given in the cookie banner). You can withdraw your consent at any time. | Up to 14 months in Google Analytics; Google Analytics cookies expire 2 years after your last visit |
Giving your data is voluntary. Without the data your browser sends when it opens a page, the page cannot be shown, and without contact details we cannot answer your message.
The text you type into the search on city pages never leaves your device: the list of stops and lines is filtered in your browser. The exception is setting up a stop display board, where the text you type is sent to the server to find the stop. We never send your coordinates. To show the lines of stops “Nearby”, the server receives the list of stops in an area of about 5 × 5 km around you; this list shows roughly where you are. When you use the location button on the map, the server receives the numbers of the map squares (about 1 km) it needs to load, just as when you move the map.
Browser storage and cookies
The site saves in your browser storage (localStorage) the settings and favourites you choose and, when you visit, the language and the cities you recently visited. The map legend only remembers whether you opened or closed it. This storage stays on your device. We send the numbers of your favourite stops only to fetch their departures. The consent banner saves your choice in a cookie, and Google Analytics cookies are created only after you consent to statistics. You can clear the storage and cookies in your browser settings.
So that the site works without a connection, your browser also keeps the site files (until the next version) and the timetables and stops you open, and for an open stop its timetable for the coming week. Saved timetables are no longer shown after 7 days and are deleted on your next visit. Searches for stops near you are not saved. None of this is sent to us.
